NGC 253, also known as the Sculptor Galaxy, is a dusty spiral galaxy about 10 million light-years away. It is one of the brightest spirals we can see, and it was first observed by Caroline Herschel in 1783. The galaxy is about 70,000 light-years across and is the largest member of its galaxy group.
