This SOHO spacecraft image blocks the Sun's direct glare to reveal a sungrazer comet, one of the brightest SOHO has ever seen. An extreme ultraviolet image of the Sun is superimposed at the center of the occulting disk. The comet was discovered by amateur astronomer Alan Watson on January 3rd.
