COSMIC MESSAGE
A monstrously bright fireball meteor lit up the Mojave Desert sky, part of the impressive Geminid meteor shower. It briefly outshone familiar stars like Sirius, Aldebaran, and the Pleiades. The meteor blazed through the constellation Orion, seen here over rock formations near Victorville, California.
