COSMIC MESSAGE
On June 1, the New Moon's shadow cast a partial solar eclipse across the land of the midnight Sun. This image, taken near midnight from northern Finland's Kaunispää Hill, shows the Moon and Sun hugging the northern horizon. Reindeer in the region were able to watch the eclipse, which was also visible from parts of Alaska and Canada.
