NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Alpha Centauri is the closest star system to our Sun. It consists of three stars: Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, and the dimmest, Proxima Centauri, which is actually the nearest star to us. Alpha Centauri A and B form a close binary, separated by a distance slightly greater than that between Uranus and the Sun.
