COSMIC MESSAGE
NGC 6188 is an emission nebula found in the southern constellation Ara, about 4,000 light-years away. It sits at the edge of a large molecular cloud. Massive, young stars within the Ara OB1 association, formed a few million years ago, sculpt the dark shapes and power the nebula's glow with their intense radiation and stellar winds.
