A Tale of Two Hemispheres

NASA APOD · Tunç Tezel
COSMIC MESSAGE

This panorama combines all-sky images from the northern hemisphere's La Palma and the southern hemisphere's Atacama Desert. The goal was to find Earth's darkest night skies. It shows the Milky Way galaxy stretching across both hemispheres, with observatories visible on each horizon.
