COSMIC MESSAGE
This telescopic composite image, recorded on August 2, shows Comet Garradd (C/2009 P1) and globular star cluster M15. Charles Messier, an 18th-century comet hunter, would have found this scene rewarding. M15, in the lower right, is the 15th object in his catalog of non-comet objects. It is a dense cluster of over 100,000 stars.
