COSMIC MESSAGE
September's equinox arrives today. As the Sun crosses the celestial equator heading south, autumn begins in the north. Both spring and autumn bring an increase in geomagnetic storms. As northern nights grow longer, the equinox also heralds a good season for viewing aurora. These curtains of shimmering green light were recorded earlier this month, sprawling across a gorgeous night sky.
