Draconid Meteors Over Spain

NASA APOD · Juan Carlos Casado
COSMIC MESSAGE

These streaks of light are meteors from the Draconids meteor shower, which peaked earlier this month. This composite image captures numerous meteor streaks over 90 minutes above the Celtic ruins of Capote in Spain. The particles that caused these meteors were expelled long ago from comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner. Most of these meteors can be traced back to a single radiant point in the constellation Draco.
