Nocturnal: Scenes from the Southern Night
The night sky changes in beautiful and unexpected ways, as shown in this time-lapse video. Clouds move, stars of vivid colors rise, and the long tail of Comet Lovejoy is visible. Bright satellites cross the sky, a meteor explodes, and a distant lightning storm approaches. The Magellanic Clouds are also visible in these southern skyscapes.
