Galaxy cluster Abell 68 acts as a strong gravitational lens, bending light from even more distant background galaxies. This infrared Hubble image shows how the cluster's mass, mostly dark matter, magnifies and distorts these background galaxies. This phenomenon allows astronomers to study galaxies that would otherwise be too faint to see.
