COSMIC MESSAGE
The supergiant star Gamma Cygni, also known as Sadr, is at the center of the Northern Cross asterism in the constellation Cygnus. This image shows a complex of stars, dust clouds, and glowing nebulae along the plane of our Milky Way galaxy. The field of view spans over 3 degrees, including emission nebula IC 1318 and open star cluster NGC 6910. The nebula to the left of Gamma Cygni is shaped like two large cosmic wings.
