On July 19th, 2013, people on Earth waved at Saturn, and the Cassini spacecraft waved back. This collage combines over 1,400 images from Earth with Cassini's view of our planet. Earth appears as a pale blue dot from Saturn, nearly 9.65 Astronomical Units away. The light from those waving Earth dwellers took just over an hour to reach the Cassini cameras.
