The constellation Sagittarius holds these three nebulae, M8, M20, and NGC 6559. M8, the Lagoon Nebula, is the large one on the left. M20, the Trifid Nebula, is on the right. NGC 6559 is above M8. All three are stellar nurseries, about five thousand light-years distant.
