COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet ISON approaches the inner Solar System, developing a tail as it brightens. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter directly imaged it as it passed near Mars. Predictions suggest it may become brighter than the Moon when it dives close to the Sun in late November.
