The Bubble and M52

NASA APOD · Robert Colombari
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Bubble Nebula, also known as NGC 7635, is a mere 10 light-years wide, blown by the winds of a single massive star. Above it and to the right is the open star cluster M52, a rich collection of about a thousand stars, spanning 25 light-years. This cosmic pairing balances the tiny nebula with the expansive cluster.
