NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

China's Yutu rover, named for a lunar Jade Rabbit from folklore, has begun exploring the Moon. Launched by the Chang'e 3 spacecraft, the desk-sized rover landed in the Sinus Iridum, or "Bay of Rainbows," impact crater. Yutu will use cameras and spectrometers to investigate the surface and composition over a three-month mission.
