COSMIC MESSAGE

A remarkably intense aurora borealis lit up the northern night on December 7, 2013, near Fairbanks, Alaska. This sequence of images, taken over 30 minutes, shows the dancing curtains of light. The aurora extended over 100 kilometers high, arcing directly overhead.
