COSMIC MESSAGE

Messier 88 is a spiral galaxy, similar to our own Milky Way, located about 50 million light-years away in the Virgo Galaxy Cluster. Its spiral arms are clearly visible in this image, marked by young blue star clusters and pink star-forming regions. Charles Messier originally described it as a 'nebula without stars'.
