COSMIC MESSAGE
The Trifid Nebula, also known as Messier 20, is a young star-forming region in Sagittarius. It is about 5,000 light-years away and only 300,000 years old. The nebula is trisected by dark dust lanes and sits next to the open star cluster Messier 21.
