COSMIC MESSAGE

This cosmic close-up shows a portion of the eastern Veil Nebula, a large supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus. The Veil Nebula is an expanding cloud of debris from a massive star's death explosion. This section, spanning half a degree, is about 12 light-years across.
