In Green Company: Aurora over Norway

After two cloudy nights, the sky over the Lofoten islands in northern Norway cleared, revealing a spectacular auroral display. This image captures the green glow over the Austnesfjorden fjord near Svolvear. The aurora, caused by charged particles from the sun interacting with Earth's atmosphere, lit up the night sky in early March. It was a beautiful reward for patience.
