NASA APOD · Bob Franke
COSMIC MESSAGE

M71 is a globular star cluster about 10 billion years old, located 13,000 light-years away in the faint constellation Sagitta. Its 10,000 stars are spread across 27 light-years. The cluster appears reddened due to intervening interstellar dust along our line of sight through the Milky Way's plane.
