The Owl Nebula, a planetary nebula, and the spiral galaxy M108 share this cosmic neighborhood. The Owl Nebula is a remnant of a star within our Milky Way, while M108 is a spiral galaxy seen edge-on, about ten million light-years away. Both are found in the constellation Ursa Major, near the Big Dipper.
