COSMIC MESSAGE

The Horsehead Nebula, Barnard 33, is a dark cloud of cold dust carved by stellar winds. It is visible because it blocks the light from the glowing red emission nebula IC 434 behind it. This region, about five light-years tall, is 1,500 light-years away in the Orion cloud complex, where new stars are forming.
