The Dawn spacecraft captured this view of Ceres' northern hemisphere and one of its mysterious bright spots on May 4. This sunlit portrait of the dwarf planet, about 950 kilometers in diameter, was taken from Dawn's RC3 mapping orbit at a distance of 13,600 kilometers. The image is part of a sequence showing Ceres' rotation, with its north pole at the top.
