In parts of Antarctica, winter means weeks when the Sun remains below the horizon. At China's Zhongshan Station, people sometimes venture out to photograph the spectacular night sky. This image, taken in mid-July, captures the Milky Way and an aurora over the frozen landscape. A wide-angle lens captured both the ground and the sky above.
