COSMIC MESSAGE
Dusty debris from Comet Swift-Tuttle was swept up by Earth this week, creating a stream of Perseid meteors. Vaporized by their passage through the atmosphere, these tiny grains produced bright flashes. This colorful Perseid meteor was captured after midnight on August 12, over Enchanted Rock in central Texas.
