A Partial Solar Eclipse over Texas

COSMIC MESSAGE
This partial solar eclipse in 2012 shows the Sun as a crescent, setting over Texas. The Moon moved in front of the Sun, blocking most of its light. The image captures the reddened sky and the temporarily crescent Sun behind a windmill and brush. This view was taken west of Sundown, Texas, just after the 'ring of fire' effect of an annular eclipse was broken.
