COSMIC MESSAGE

The Southern Cross, also known as Crux, is a constellation visible from Earth's Southern Hemisphere. It is composed of four bright stars, with the orange star Gamma Crucis on its left. The Milky Way's band of stars, dust, and gas rises through the middle of the image. The Coalsack Nebula, a dark patch of dust, is visible to the right of the Southern Cross.
