Comet 252P/Linear displays a lovely greenish coma in this southern skyscape over Flinders, Australia. Visible to the naked eye, its surprisingly bright coma spans about one degree. The comet appears tailless, posed below the nebulae, stars, and dark rifts of the Milky Way. This wide-field mosaic was captured on March 21, 2016, near the comet's closest approach to Earth.
