Three Worlds for TRAPPIST-1

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Three Earth-sized worlds orbit the ultracool dwarf star TRAPPIST-1, just 40 light-years away. The TRAPPIST telescope at ESO's La Silla Observatory detected their transits. These exoplanets orbit very close to their faint star. This proximity means they could have surface temperatures that allow for liquid water.
