Firefall by Moonlight

On rare February evenings, Yosemite's Horsetail Fall can appear to glow like fire. This 'firefall' occurs when the setting sun, at just the right angle, illuminates the waterfall. This image, however, captures a moonlight firefall, a much rarer event. The full moon illuminates the fall, creating a different kind of ethereal glow against the dark granite of El Capitan.
