COSMIC MESSAGE
The Crescent Nebula, NGC 6888, is a cosmic bubble twenty-five light-years across. It was blown by winds from its central, massive Wolf-Rayet star, WR 136. This image uses narrow-band data to isolate light from hydrogen and oxygen atoms. The oxygen atoms create the blue-green hue that envelops the detailed folds and filaments of the nebula.
