This serene skyscape from southern Ontario captures the Milky Way above a lake. The trails of light are not satellites or meteors. They are from a pulsing firefly, which entered the frame from the right and wandered toward the camera before flying away. The wide-field composite was made from four consecutive 15-second exposures.
