COSMIC MESSAGE
A Full Moon near the horizon often appears larger, an effect known as the Moon illusion. However, time-lapse images show that the Moon's apparent size does not change as it rises. Its color does, though. This composite, made from frames taken every 10 seconds, shows the dramatic color shift of a solstice Full Moon rising over northwestern Indiana.
