COSMIC MESSAGE
The Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex is a star-forming region about 460 light-years away in Ophiuchus. Its many colors are due to different processes. Blue regions reflect light from nearby stars, while red and yellow areas glow from excited atomic and molecular gas. These clouds are among the closest to our solar system.
