All the Water on Planet Earth

Despite oceans covering 70 percent of Earth's surface, water makes up a very small fraction of the planet's total volume. This illustration shows what all the water on or near Earth's surface would look like if gathered into a single ball. Its radius would be only about 700 kilometers, less than half the radius of the Moon. This ball would be slightly larger than Saturn's moon Rhea.
