COSMIC MESSAGE
A Harvest Moon rises over Sesimbra Castle, south of Lisbon, in this series of telephoto exposures. The full moon was also gliding through Earth's diffuse outer shadow during September's penumbral lunar eclipse. The eclipse subtly darkened the Moon's upper limb as it climbed into the evening sky.
