NGC 7814: The Little Sombrero in Pegasus

COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 7814, also called the Little Sombrero, is a spiral galaxy seen edge-on in the constellation Pegasus. It resembles the brighter, more famous Sombrero Galaxy, M104. Both have extensive halos and central bulges, cut by a thin disk with thinner dust lanes.
