This 3D anaglyph shows lava falls on Mars, created from two images by the HiRISE camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The multi-level falls formed when flowing lava breached the northern rim of a 30-kilometer crater in the volcanic Tharsis region. As the molten lava cascaded down the crater wall, it left distinct terraces.
