COSMIC MESSAGE

Messier 106 is a spiral galaxy nearly 24 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici. It is 80,000 light-years across, and it is the largest member of the Canes II galaxy group. Its distance is well-known because of direct measurements of its maser emissions.
