COSMIC MESSAGE
A Perseid meteor streaks across the sky by the sea, captured just after moonrise on August 12. These meteors are dust grains from Comet Swift-Tuttle, hitting Earth's atmosphere at 60 kilometers per second. They vaporize at about 100 kilometers altitude, creating bright, colorful flashes.
