COSMIC MESSAGE
On August 12, a bright Perseid meteor streaked across the night sky west of Halifax, Nova Scotia. This single exposure captured its incandescent trace, which appears to cross the stars of the Big Dipper. Shimmering curtains of aurora borealis, also known as the northern lights, danced in the night, doubling the visual impact.
