Perseid Meteor, Red Sprites, and Nova RS Ophiuchus

This image captures an unusual sky, featuring the Milky Way, a bright Perseid meteor, and red sprites. The meteor, a particularly bright one from last week's shower, is visible on the upper right. Red sprites, a type of lightning, are seen on the lower right. Also, a nova, RS Ophiuchi, appears as a bright star near the image center.
