A Fleeting Double Eclipse of the Sun
NASA APOD · Simon Tang
COSMIC MESSAGE
During a total solar eclipse, a rare double eclipse can occur. This image captures the Sun being simultaneously eclipsed by both the Moon and the International Space Station. While many experienced a partial or total solar eclipse, a few with fast cameras captured this fleeting moment. It shows the ISS silhouetted against the partially eclipsed Sun.
