COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet PanSTARRS, discovered in 2016, is an icy visitor from the distant Oort Cloud. It is currently about 24 light minutes from the Sun, sweeping through Taurus. The comet's ion tail glows a remarkable shade of blue, even though it is still far from the Sun. This blue color comes from emission of unusual molecules.
