COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 3324 is a star-forming region in the constellation Carina, sculpted by the winds and radiation from hot, young stars. This cosmic cloud spans about 35 light-years and lies some 7,500 light-years away. The image, a composite of narrowband data, captures emission from ionized sulfur, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms. Dark dust clouds are silhouetted against the glowing gas.
