COSMIC MESSAGE
The region around the Cone Nebula in Monoceros is filled with unusual shapes of interstellar dust and glowing gas. These forms are sculpted by the energetic light and hot gas from young stars. S Monocerotis, a bright star on the right, illuminates the Fox Fur Nebula, a region of colorful dust just below it. The blue glow around S Monocerotis is light reflected by nearby dust.
